I’m Still Alive….

Posted in General on Sunday, March 23, 2008 by Yatta

Bwoy, how long has it been since I wrote in this blog??!?!?! Waaaaayyyy to long if i can say so. I’ve been through alot during this non-blogging state. Which I can’t really blog about.. it’s not that I can;t blog about it.. I just can’t bother to sit here and type that much gibberish.

Fast forwarding to the present, I’ve tried to make a few changes, not all of them good :-( . I’ve stopped going to company sponsored aerobics class. Since the year has started I’ve been to like ummm… about 4 of the. Yes you read correctly… 4 of them since January!!! I’m ashamed of miself. I may not be putting on back the weight BUT now my belly looks even bigger than before !!!! Since I now have a mirror in my room I’m constantly being reminded of this non-licqour-beer-belly-looking stomach…grrrrrrr…

I have some more stuff to type.. but I’m tired of typing already.

TV is Back…..

Posted in General on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 by Yatta

How many months have we sat at home waiting for something worthwhile to watch on TV.
TV has returned!!!! It’s a great lineup… Prison Break, Heroe’s, The Unit, Grey’s Anatomy, Stargate Atlantis, House and  maybe Bionic Woman the jury is still out on that one. My hard drive is not going to like me too much after this fall season. Basically all of the above shows are worthy to be archived!!! Prison break is right along the same line as 24… the show BAD!!!!!
The Unit i think is finally getting in its own now… we see that there are some serious big fish that want dismantle The Unit. So far i like how it is going.. but why did they have to change the theme song?!?! The army/marine song was soo kewl for the show…. now they have this… this…. song that i think does nothing for the show. Ooh well I guess the makers must know what they are doing.

I’m catching up on The Unit.. so lata guys.

emoze.logo.jpgSorry for the long delay in writing this, but as you can see I haven’t been blogging that much to begin with. I have grown to like this little app, I like it even more since it is FREE!!! If you have a work account account which is based on Exchange and has web access (OWA ) this is sweet application. There are 2 connection types when you install this app: PC Connector or Global Gateway.

Push e-mail … for non-Blacberry

Posted in General on Thursday, September 6, 2007 by Yatta

A few of my fellow techs of hi-tech phones (aka expensive phones :)) that are non-blackberry. We all have various reasons for wanting the phones we own, mainly because of the functionality it gives us in it’s small for factor. One thing I liked with Blackberry was its push e-mail feature… matter of fact that is what made the thing so damn popular. That main reason alone did push me to get a blackberry though, I never relied on email that much to warrant to cost of the blackberry feature added with regular cell phone charges.

In using my phone more and more now…. i noticed it would be nice to have my mail with me as I go (shhhh…. just don’t tell me boss). Yea I know some would say setting up your phone with the pop3 settings of whoever should do the trick and have it check every so often, but hey i wanted to check out some free alternatives to push e-mail. Ok…. Let me admit even though i setup my phone for pop3 access it did not see to work to well. I did a little browsing and found 2 free push e-mail services emoze and consilient. I haven’t tried either one of these but I will… shortly.

It may not be totally free…. but this way youwill not have to pay that ridiculous blackberry feature fee…. you’ll just have to worry about invites.

Dash … my new phone

Posted in General on Thursday, August 30, 2007 by Yatta

Yes… I have changed my phone once again. I think I’ll be keeping this phone for awhile also. Granted it may not be that much of a upgrade from the T-Mobile MDA that I had but for the past 2 days I’ve been using it I don’t have that many qualms with it. If you do some research on this phone (Dash) it is essentially the more evolved descendent of the MDA. Some would ask me why the change; they have the same processor same camera resolution, same memory specs. Let me answer then… it was mainly the form factor. I found out the MDA was to much of a portable PC then I really needed. If i’m in front of my PC/laptop as often as I am i don’t really need a pocketPC. The nail the shut the coffin was when i really wanted to use the phone I had to slide it open an do what I wanted. At first it was all kewl an stuff but i guess that novelty died after a period of time.

My fren over from Windies Sports, brought the Dash to my attention. From using the a Treo, 9100, and MDA I realized that I prefer the qwerty on the front, since i input data in my phone alot it is easier to use. I’m noticing also that once you learn some of the keyboard shortcuts navigation is quite fast.

Let me point out also… the phone is encased in some form of black rubbery material, gives you the feeling that it won’t easily slip out of hand during normal use. Compared to the other phones I’ve had… this is by far the lightest!!
